Technical Project Manager

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of enterprise software development projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in Microservices Architecture, Node.js or Python, and Docker, along with excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.
You will work closely with engineering, product, QA, DevOps, and business teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end software development projects from planning to deployment.
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with Product Managers, Architects, Developers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
- Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks.
- Track project metrics and provide regular status updates to leadership.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, quality standards, and best engineering practices.
- Support technical discussions and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve project challenges.
- Mentor team leads and promote a collaborative, high-performance work culture.
- Drive continuous process improvements to enhance project delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10–12 years of overall IT experience with proven project management expertise.
- Hands-on development experience in Node.js or Python.
- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with Docker and containerized application deployment.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, system integrations, and scalable application design.
- Experience managing Agile software development teams.
- Proficiency in project planning, estimation, budgeting, resource management, and risk management.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar project management tools.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven architectures.
- Experience working in Product, SaaS, or fast-growing technology companies.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or Agile certification is an added advantage.
