The role also involves troubleshooting issues, analysing costs, and ensuring compliance with HSEF standards
To ensure the availability and safe and reliable operation of electrical equipment in the plant by timely and effective, predictive, and preventive maintenance.

- Workshop Maintenance Operations -
- Review, prioritize and execute critical electrical maintenance activities while ensuring adherence to highest quality standards
- Coordinate with other functions and follow up for external repairs; Oversee maintenance of electrical equipment at site common areas
- Manage the planned turnaround and shutdown services performed on electrical equipment and systems to ensure they are maintained, tested and calibrated timely
- Support in identification of root cause for failures and perform risk assessment, as well as provide inputs in trouble shooting measures that prevent repetitive failures
- Conduct training and skill development of team members as per requirements
- Oversee preservation of all complex level spare LT motors
- Manage all planned and reactive maintenance of non-plant areas attached to CES workshop
- Policies, Processes and Procedures #
- Oversee day to day activities & follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Keep self-abreast with leading practices & trends and contribute to the identification of continuous improvement of systems, processes and procedures
- Follow test procedures and formats; ensure implementation of best practices and group guidelines for electrical equipment at plant.
- Plant Maintenance Planning #
- Prepare electrical maintenance cost and budgeting and oversee adherence to the same to ensure efficient utilization for the plant.
- Ensure maintenance schedules are executed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for electrical activities in coordination with planning and plant maintenance teams.
- Ensure the availability of resources to handle day-to-day electrical maintenance activities.
- Ensure root cause analysis and implementation of all recommendations on time.
- Plant Maintenance Operations -

- Perform Task-based risk assessment for all critical activities and ensure all activities are executed with proper permit and risk assessment.
- Conduct training and skill development of team members as per requirements
- Ensure availability of all critical spares and cost-effectively manage spares.
- Manage all planned and reactive maintenance of plant areas.
- Support / Implement MOCs and CAPEXs flawlessly.
- Implement life cycle plan / 5-year Obsolescence plan.
- Compliance & Documentation -
- Ensure compliance with all PM and PdM plans.
- Ensure compliance with CAT and Meridium recommendations.
- Participate in safety committees and implement action plans.
- Support in conducting system and procedure compliance audits in own section and ensure adherence to statutory, Electrical Safety Maintenance and HSE compliance, including RESOP, DOSHE, CASHe, HSEF mandatory trainings, etc.
- Coordinate with vendors/ equipment manufacturers to ensure seamless contract management and release material/ service PRs & service entries
- Review and update master data for electrical equipment repair and diagnostic testing, MIS, and reporting documents in IMS
- Necessary: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology (Electrical stream) or a Master's degree in Engineering/ Technology (Electrical stream) (Preferred)
- Necessary: 3-7 years of experience in industrial / electrical workshop maintenance (field/industry/domain)
Ø - -Knowledge of Transformer, HT/ LT motor, VSD, UPS, battery charger, battery set, Switchgear and protection system.
