Job Summary
Hotel Ganga is seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and drive revenue growth. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining service standards, controlling costs, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations while delivering excellent hospitality.
Key ResponsibilitiesRestaurant Operations
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor dining room activities to ensure efficient and professional service.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health regulations, and safety standards.
Team Management
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate restaurant staff.
- Prepare staff schedules and manage shift allocations.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development.
- Foster teamwork and maintain a positive work environment.
Guest Service
- Greet and interact with guests to ensure a memorable dining experience.
- Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests professionally.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and service excellence.
Financial Management
- Monitor restaurant sales, revenue, and operating expenses.
- Control food and beverage costs, wastage, and inventory levels.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Assist in budgeting and achieving revenue targets.
Inventory & Procurement
- Monitor stock levels of food, beverages, and restaurant supplies.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely procurement.
- Ensure proper storage and stock rotation practices.
Hygiene & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Maintain compliance with local health and licensing regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of restaurant facilities and equipment.
Marketing & Business Development
- Support promotional activities, special events, and seasonal campaigns.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and improve guest retention.
- Work closely with management to implement business growth strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills in English and Malayalam; Hindi is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, inventory control, and cost management.
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
