Position Overview:
Engineer Production will be responsible for managing and optimizing manufacturing processes
in electronics product assembly, ensuring high-quality output, productivity improvement, and
adherence to production targets. The role involves coordination with cross-functional teams
such as Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering, Design to ensure efficient production
operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Responsibilities:
Contribute to development and implementation of production SOPs and process
standardization.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency
enhancement.
Analyse production data to improve productivity, yield, and reduce cycle time.
Support implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist in capacity planning and resource optimization
Functional Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day production activities across SMT, MI, and product assembly lines.
Ensure adherence to production schedules and delivery timelines.
Monitor line performance, downtime, and productivity.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and coordination with QC/QA teams.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
Carry out debug amp; rework (PCBA, Product level) with minimum scrap
Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
Maintain production reports, MIS, and documentation.
Coordinate with stores for material availability and inventory control.
Ensure adherence to ESD, safety, and regulatory guidelines on shop floor.
Participate in new product introduction (NPI) and pilot production runs.
Support testing, validation, and process stabilization activities.
Key Attributes for Success:
Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes (SMT, MI, Assembly)
Understanding of production planning, line balancing, and cycle time optimization
Knowledge of quality tools and problem-solving techniques (5 Why, Fishbone, Kaizen)
Exposure to inventory control and material handling
Hands-on experience in production reporting and MIS
Good communication and coordination skills

Qualification: Diploma/BE in Electronics
Experience: 2–3 years in electronics Product manufacturing (SMT/Assembly/Testing)
Experience in handling production lines and manpower
Basic understanding of ERP systems
