The Plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of plumbing systems throughout the mall, ensuring uninterrupted water supply, proper drainage, and efficient operation of sanitary and utility systems. The role supports tenants, common areas, food courts, restrooms, and back-of-house facilities while maintaining safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
- Monitor and maintain water supply lines, drainage systems, sewage lines, and stormwater systems.
- Attend plumbing complaints and breakdowns from tenants and common areas.
- Repair leaks, clogged drains, faucets, flush valves, pipes, pumps, and sanitary fixtures.
- Maintain restroom facilities, food court plumbing systems, and utility areas.
- Operate and maintain water pumps, booster pumps, sump pumps, and sewage pumps.
- Monitor underground and overhead water tanks and associated piping systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance as per scheduled maintenance plans.
- Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs and renovation projects.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain maintenance logs, service reports, and inventory of plumbing spare parts.
- Support tenant fit-outs and mall events requiring plumbing modifications.
Qualifications
- ITI Plumber / Trade Certificate in Plumbing.
- Relevant plumbing license/certification as per local regulations (if applicable).
- 1–3 years of experience in malls, commercial buildings, hotels, hospitals, or large facilities.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, pumps, water treatment systems, and drainage networks.
- Ability to read plumbing drawings and layouts.
