Job Summary:
The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for managing all direct and indirect tax compliances of the organization, ensuring timely filing of returns, maintaining statutory records, handling tax assessments and audits, and advising management on tax planning and regulatory changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, Income Tax returns, and other statutory tax compliances within schedule timelines.
- Ensure accurate calculation, deduction, and payment of TDS, GST, Professional Tax, and other applicable taxes.
- Reconcile GST input tax credit with vendor records and government portals.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports and reconciliations.
- Handle tax assessments, notices, audits, and correspondence with tax authorities.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure company compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and government authorities regarding tax matters.
- Verify accounting entries related to taxation and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff on tax-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in taxation and accounting.
- Experience in manufacturing industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliances.
Required Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of Indian taxation laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Tally, Google Sheet and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple compliance activities simultaneously.
Preferred Industry: Manufacturing / Jewellery Manufacturing industry.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
