Vendor Development Engineer – Tool Room
Company: Toolcom Innovation Solution Pvt. Ltd.
Experience: 4–6 Years
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. Mechanical Engineering
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and qualify vendors for Tool Room activities.
- Source vendors for CNC, VMC, Wire Cut EDM, Surface Grinding, Heat Treatment, Coating & Laser Marking.
- Evaluate vendor capability, quality, delivery, and pricing.
- Negotiate quotations and finalize commercial terms.
- Coordinate with Design, Tool Room, Production & Purchase teams.
- Monitor supplier quality, delivery, and performance.
- Conduct vendor audits and implement corrective actions.
- Procure tool steels, mould components, cutting tools & machining services.
- Develop alternate vendors for cost optimization and localization.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of Tool Room manufacturing processes.
- Experience in CNC, VMC, Wire Cut EDM, Milling & Grinding.
- Ability to read Engineering Drawings, GD&T & BOM.
- Vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 supplier quality requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP & Microsoft Office.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
