Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer with strong expertise in data visualization, DAX, SQL, Python and data modelling. The ideal candidate should have excellent storytelling and visualization skills and the ability to transform complex data into interactive, visually appealing dashboards and actionable business insights.
A good understanding of the Mutual Fund or Financial Services domain will be important for effective business interactions and success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and understand business requirements and translate them into effective Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Design and develop interactive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards that simplify complex data and effectively tell a business story.
- Write and optimize complex DAX queries to create calculated columns, measures and custom tables for advanced analytics.
- Write complex SQL queries using MS SQL and Oracle databases.
- Develop Python scripts to extract and pull data from source systems for use in Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Perform data cleaning, transformation and data shaping using Python, Power Query and complex SQL queries.
- Design effective data models using Star Schema and Snowflake Schema concepts.
- Understand and manage relationship cardinality within Power BI data models.
- Deploy, publish and distribute Power BI reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data engineers to query data warehouses using advanced SQL.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting and data visualization requirements.
- Improve report usability and drive higher user adoption.
- Build confidence with business users by delivering reliable and insightful data visualizations.
Must-Have Skills
- 2–5 years of hands-on Power BI experience.
- Strong Power BI dashboard development skills.
- Excellent data storytelling and visualization skills.
- Strong knowledge of DAX.
- Strong knowledge of Power Query.
- Advanced SQL query writing skills.
- Experience working with Oracle and MS SQL.
- Strong Python scripting skills for data extraction and transformation.
- Solid understanding of data modelling.
- Knowledge of Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.
- Strong understanding of relationship cardinality.
- Good understanding of ETL processes: Extract, Transform and Load.
- Ability to clean, transform and shape data from multiple data sources.
- Good communication skills and a strong business mindset.
- Decent understanding of the Mutual Fund domain.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with cloud data warehousing.
- Power BI performance optimization.
- Row-Level Security (RLS) implementation.
- Strong business domain knowledge.
- Experience collaborating with data engineering teams.
- Previous experience in Finance or Mutual Funds will be a significant advantage.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
