We are looking for a sharp, hands-on Dispatch & Planning Executive to oversee the end-to-end dispatch operations of our LED lighting products. Because our goods are packed and shipped in cartons of varying sizes, this role requires a mix of strong spatial awareness, sharp mathematical skills, and a practical, common-sense approach to maximize vehicle space and minimize damage.
This is a ground-level role. You won’t just be sitting behind a screen; you will be on the floor, managing labor, coordinating with transporters, and ensuring orders leave accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch Planning & Spatial Optimization: Plan daily and weekly dispatch schedules based on pending orders. Calculate carton volumes and weights to determine the exact vehicle type needed (e.g., Tempo, Tata Ace, 14ft/20ft trucks).
- Transporter Coordination: Maintain daily contact with transport agencies and freight forwarders. Negotiate fair freight rates, track vehicle placement, and ensure timely vehicle arrival.
- Labor & Team Management: Directly manage, motivate, and supervise the on-ground loading and unloading labor team. Ensure disciplined, safe, and efficient handling of delicate LED products.
- Documentation & Accuracy: Prepare and verify all dispatch-related paperwork, including Delivery Challans, Invoices, Packing Lists, and E-Way bills. Double-check that physical carton counts exactly match the paperwork.
- Inventory & Ground Coordination: Coordinate closely with the production and warehouse teams to ensure goods are packed, labeled, and ready for loading ahead of time.
Key Requirements & Skills
- Mathematical & Spatial Skills: Strong mental math is a must. You should be able to quickly calculate cubic feet (CFT), total carton volumes, and understand how to stack cartons efficiently to utilize 100% of truck space without crushing fragile LED components.
- Ground-Level Experience: Must have a proven track record of working directly on the factory/warehouse floor. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy manufacturing environment.
- Street-Smart & Common Sense: Quick problem-solving skills to handle real-world dispatch hiccups (e.g., a transporter backing out last minute, labor shortages, or vehicle space mismatches).
- People Management: Ability to firmly yet respectfully manage and get work done from loading/unloading labor
Pay: ₹11,102.37 - ₹34,586.96 per month
Work Location: In person
