Job Summary
Homebots is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join its Programming & Services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, programming, testing, commissioning, and supporting smart home and automation systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work on-site with clients and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, program, and commission home automation and smart building systems.
- Install and integrate smart lighting, curtain control, access control, CCTV, security, and IoT devices.
- Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and performance verification.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and installation teams during project execution.
- Perform site visits for commissioning, maintenance, and technical support activities.
- Provide end-user training and system handover support.
- Maintain project documentation, service reports, and commissioning records.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and project timelines.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of home automation systems and smart home technologies.
- Understanding of networking concepts, IP devices, and system integration.
- Experience in programming, commissioning, or technical support of automation systems.
- Familiarity with CCTV, access control, ELV systems, and IoT devices.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and customer interaction abilities.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, EEE, ECE, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in commissioning, automation, technical services, ELV systems, or smart home solutions.
