Job Summary
The Cashier is responsible for handling all cash, cheque, card, UPI, and other customer transactions accurately while ensuring timely receipt generation, daily cash reconciliation, and compliance with company financial policies. The role requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, and coordination with Sales, Service, and Accounts departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive payments through Cash, Cheque, UPI, Debit/Credit Cards, and Online Banking.
- Issue receipts, invoices, and payment acknowledgements to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of all daily financial transactions.
- Perform daily cash verification and reconciliation with system records.
- Deposit cash and cheques in the bank as per company procedures.
- Coordinate with Sales, Service, Parts, and Accounts teams for payment confirmation.
- Process customer refunds, advances, and adjustments as per company policy.
- Maintain petty cash and related records, if assigned.
- Ensure compliance with company financial controls and audit requirements.
- Handle customer payment-related queries professionally.
- Prepare daily cash reports and submit them to the Accounts Department.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Qualification:
- Graduate in Commerce (B.Com) preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience as a Cashier, preferably in an Automobile Dealership or Retail Industry
- Freshers with good accounting knowledge may also apply.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and billing/accounting software (SAP, ERP, Tally, or DMS preferred).
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
