Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Head to lead the Human Resources function for our Commercial Vehicle (Buses & Trucks) business. The role is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that support business growth, workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, and organizational development across dealerships, sales, service, spare parts, and corporate functions.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic HR Management
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the organization's business objectives.
- Partner with leadership to build a high-performance and customer-centric workforce.
- Drive organizational development, succession planning, and change management initiatives.
- Prepare HR budgets, manpower plans, and workforce strategies.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead recruitment for sales, service, workshop, spare parts, finance, administration, and support functions.
- Develop talent pipelines for technical and managerial positions.
- Oversee onboarding and induction programs for new employees.
- Ensure timely hiring to meet business requirements.
Performance Management
- Design and manage the performance appraisal system.
- Implement goal-setting and performance improvement plans.
- Support managers in performance reviews and employee development.
- Drive a performance-based culture across all departments.
Learning & Development
- Identify training needs and develop annual training calendars.
- Organize technical, behavioral, leadership, and compliance training programs.
- Coordinate manufacturer/OEM training for dealership employees.
- Monitor employee skill development and career progression.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Foster a positive work environment and employee engagement culture.
- Address employee grievances and disciplinary matters professionally.
- Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and engagement initiatives.
- Promote diversity, inclusion, teamwork, and organizational values.
Compensation & Benefits
- Develop competitive compensation structures and incentive programs.
- Oversee payroll coordination, benefits administration, and statutory deductions.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and compensation reviews.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain HR policies, employee records, contracts, and documentation.
- Oversee attendance, leave management, and HRIS.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and workplace regulations.
HR Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor HR metrics including:
- Recruitment turnaround time
- Attrition rate
- Employee productivity
- Training effectiveness
- Employee engagement
- Manpower utilization
- Present HR dashboards and reports to senior management.
Required Skills

Qualifications
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources, MSW (HR), or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Professional HR certifications (SHRM, HRCI, CIPD, etc.) are an advantage.
Experience
- 10–15+ years of progressive HR experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
- Prior experience in the commercial vehicle, automobile dealership, automotive manufacturing, logistics, or transport industry is highly preferred.
- Experience managing HR across multiple dealership locations is an added advantage.
