Job Summary
Verastar Solutions Private Limited is looking for a skilled Server & Storage Engineer to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise server and storage infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, storage solutions, backup technologies, and infrastructure support.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
- Manage and monitor server performance, health, and availability.
- Configure and administer enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, DAS).
- Perform server and storage provisioning, upgrades, and migrations.
- Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Configure RAID, LUNs, storage pools, and storage replication.
- Monitor server, storage, and backup environments to ensure business continuity.
- Troubleshoot server hardware, storage, and operating system issues.
- Perform firmware updates, patch management, and preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate with network, security, and application teams during deployments.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and implementation records.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support to enterprise customers.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration.
- Experience with VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Hands-on experience with SAN, NAS, RAID, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI storage.
- Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Knowledge of server hardware from Dell, HPE, Lenovo, or Cisco.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and customer-handling abilities.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per month
