Job Summary
- We are looking for a Product Design Engineer with hands-on experience in designing and developing data center rack systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end product design, from concept development to production, ensuring structural integrity, thermal efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop data center racks, enclosures, and related mechanical systems
- Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and BOMs using CAD tools (SolidWorks & AutoCAD)
- Perform structural analysis, load calculations, and thermal considerations for rack systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, electrical, supply chain) to ensure design feasibility
- Work on prototyping, testing, and validation of designs
- Support new product development (NPD) and continuous improvement initiatives
- Troubleshoot design issues and implement corrective actions
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in designing data center racks or sheet metal enclosures
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks / AutoCAD)
- Knowledge of sheet metal design, fabrication processes, and materials
- Understanding of thermal management and airflow in rack systems
- Familiarity with industry standards (19-inch racks, cable management, power distribution integration)
- Experience with DFMEA, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with server/storage rack integration
- Knowledge of cooling solutions (airflow management, liquid cooling basics)
- Exposure to global data center infrastructure requirements
- Experience working with OEM/ODM manufacturing environments
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
