- Quickly understand the wide technical domain and its pitfalls
- Diagnose problems and solve issues
- Challenge - and perform impact analysis on requested changes / improvements
- Design and build high quality changes to the systems based on functional designs and the existing architecture
- Work closely with developers/designers, information analysts
- Perform release management of the system
