Industry Preference: Transformer / Electrical Equipment / Heavy Electrical Equipment / Switchgear / Electrical Panels
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Strategy
- Develop and execute sales and business development strategies to drive revenue growth across targeted regions and market segments.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in utilities, EPC contractors, OEMs, industrial customers, infrastructure projects, government, and PSU sectors.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to expand market presence.
Lead Generation & Customer Acquisition
- Generate, qualify, and convert leads into business opportunities.
- Conduct customer meetings, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and commercial discussions.
- Build and maintain a strong customer pipeline through regular market visits and networking activities.
Sales Execution & Order Management
- Handle the complete sales cycle from enquiry generation to quotation, negotiation, order finalization, and payment follow-up.
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals aligned with customer requirements and company standards.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, consultants, contractors, and decision-makers.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through regular follow-ups and prompt issue resolution.
- Support key account management and long-term business retention.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve business targets.
- Monitor sales performance, set KPIs, and conduct regular reviews.
- Coordinate with internal departments for smooth execution of projects and orders.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor market developments, pricing trends, and competitor activities.
- Maintain CRM/MIS data, sales forecasts, and business reports.
- Provide regular updates and performance reports to management.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of transformer products, electrical equipment, switchgear, and power systems.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and client management skills.
- Experience in B2B industrial sales and handling techno-commercial discussions.
- Strong communication, presentation, and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
Experience Required
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Sales / Business Development within Transformer Manufacturing, Electrical Equipment, Switchgear, or Heavy Electrical Industries.
