Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for jewellery manufacturing machines (casting machines, polishing units, CNC machines, laser cutting/engraving machines, etc.)
- Supervise and guide maintenance technicians and support staff
- Ensure all equipment operates with high precision to maintain product quality
- Troubleshoot breakdowns in critical machines like casting, soldering, and polishing equipment
- Maintain cleanroom or dust-free environments where required for fine jewellery work
- Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance without affecting output
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables specific to jewellery machinery
- Ensure proper maintenance of utilities such as air compressors, vacuum systems, and electrical systems
- Implement safety standards, especially for handling chemicals, polishing dust, and heat-based processes
- Maintain detailed records of machine performance, repairs, and maintenance schedules
- Identify opportunities for upgrading machinery and improving efficiency
- Technical Knowledge & Skills Required1.
- ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) Knowledge
- Understanding of Effluent Treatment Plant operations used in jewellery manufacturing (chemical, polishing, and plating waste)
2. Bearings & Mechanical Components
- Strong knowledge of different types of bearings (ball, roller, needle, etc.)
- Ability to inspect, lubricate, and replace bearings in precision machines
- Understanding of alignment, vibration issues, and preventive maintenance
- Knowledge of shafts, couplings, belts, and gear systems
3. Jewellery Manufacturing Machines
- Hands-on experience with machines such as:
- Casting machines (vacuum/centrifugal)
- Polishing and buffing machines
- Laser cutting and engraving machines
- CNC and micro-machining equipment
- Ultrasonic cleaning machines
- Understanding of precision maintenance for delicate equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in small-scale machines
- Knowledge of compressed air systems and vacuum systems used in jewellery production
4. Generator (DG Set) Knowledge
- Operation and maintenance of diesel generators
- Routine checks: oil level, coolant, battery, and fuel system
- Basic troubleshooting of starting issues and load management
- Preventive maintenance and servicing schedules
- Knowledge of AMF panels and electrical connections
- Knowledge of treatment processes: coagulation, flocculation, filtration, and sludge handling
- Ability to monitor pH levels, TDS, and chemical dosing systems
- Familiarity with pollution control norms and environmental regulations
- Basic troubleshooting of pumps, agitators, and pipelines in ETP systems
B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
