Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Set up CNC machines (turning, milling, machining centers, etc.).
- Install and align tools, fixtures, jigs, and workpieces.
- Load or verify CNC programs and make basic program offsets if required.
- Set tool offsets and work offsets.
- Perform first-off inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain quality and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot setup issues and minimize machine downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality standards.
- Document setup details and production records.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of CNC machines and machining processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, etc.).
- Understanding of tooling, cutting parameters, and materials.
- Basic knowledge of G-code and M-code (often required).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Tool & Die, Machinist, or a related field (requirements vary by employer).
- Experience with CNC milling or turning machines.
- Familiarity with quality inspection techniques.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
