Role Overview
We are looking for a creative, dynamic, and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team and take ownership of video content across our social media platforms, YouTube channel, and in-house content initiatives. The role will involve transforming ideas, concepts, and raw footage into engaging and high-quality video content that strengthens our brands and connects with our target audience.
The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for visual storytelling, pacing, composition, and current digital content trends, along with the ability to independently manage projects from raw footage to final output.

Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of video editing and production for YouTube videos, Instagram reels, shorts, social media content, promotional videos, and other digital content.
- Transform raw footage, creative briefs, concepts, and ideas into engaging and polished video content.
- Develop video content that is aligned with the brand identity, communication objectives, and target audience of different Zyax brands.
- Create short-form and long-form video content with strong storytelling, pacing, transitions, audio, and visual appeal.
- Work on motion graphics, text animations, visual effects, transitions, and other elements to make content more engaging.
- Adapt and optimize videos for different platforms, formats, aspect ratios, and audience behaviours.
- Collaborate with the marketing and other internal teams to understand content requirements and deliver projects within timelines.
- Assist in conceptualising new video formats, creative ideas, and content series for social media and YouTube.
- Maintain consistency in visual style, quality, branding, and overall presentation across video content.
- Stay updated with current social media trends, editing styles, formats, and content practices and incorporate relevant trends into brand content.
- Take ownership of projects and ensure timely completion from initial footage and editing through to the final deliverable.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1-3 years of relevant experience as a Video Editor or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of video editing and content creation work.
- Freshers with strong video editing skills, relevant projects, internships, or a good portfolio may also be considered.
- Strong understanding of social media content creation, particularly Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube videos.
- Proficiency in video editing software, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or other creative tools is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, transitions, audio, typography, and composition.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and willingness to experiment with new formats and ideas.
