Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to work in an esteemed Architects Office closely with architects, consultants, and project teams in the planning, design, coordination, and execution of architectural and building projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring structural feasibility, construction quality, compliance with codes, and seamless coordination between architectural and engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Technical Coordination
* Prepare Detailed Estimates and tender Documents for both Govt and private works
* Coordinate with architects during concept, schematic, and detailed design stages.
* Review architectural drawings and provide civil/structural inputs.
* Ensure designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
* Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, and other consultants.
* Review and approve shop drawings, construction drawings, and technical submissions.
Project Management
* Monitor project progress, timelines, and budgets.
* Conduct regular site visits and inspections.
* Resolve technical issues arising during construction.
* Ensure quality control and adherence to specifications.
* Prepare project reports and progress updates for management and clients.
Construction Supervision
* Review construction methodologies and sequencing.
* Verify quantities, BOQs, and contractor bills.
* Monitor material quality and workmanship.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
* Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
Documentation & Approvals
* Prepare technical reports, specifications, and tender documents.
* Assist in obtaining statutory approvals and clearances.
* Review contracts and technical agreements.
* Maintain project records and documentation.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
* Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering (preferred).
* Professional Engineer registration/licensing (preferred).
Experience
* Minimum 8–15 years of experience in building projects, institutional projects, commercial developments, hospitality, healthcare, or educational facilities.
* Experience working in architectural consultancy or multidisciplinary design firms preferred.
* Strong understanding of RCC, steel structures, foundations, and construction technologies.
Skills Required
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and MS Project.
* Knowledge of ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAFE, or equivalent structural software.
* Strong project coordination and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and client-handling abilities.
* Ability to review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contracts.
* Knowledge of NBC, IS Codes, and local building regulations.
