Job Title: Centre Head – Eye HospitalJob
Summary
The Centre Head is responsible for the overall management and profitability of the eye hospital. This role owns the Profit & Loss (P&L), drives revenue growth, ensures operational excellence, enhances patient experience, and leads clinical and non-clinical teams to achieve business and quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. P&L Ownership
- Own the centre's Profit & Loss (P&L) and achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Monitor key financial metrics including revenue, EBITDA, margins, operating costs, and cash flow.
- Drive cost optimization without compromising patient care and quality.
- Prepare and review monthly business performance reports and action plans.
2.Patient Flow & Turnaround Time (TAT) Management
- Ensure efficient patient flow across registration, consultation, diagnostics, counselling, surgery, billing, and discharge.
- Own and continuously improve patient Turnaround Time (TAT) across all service touchpoints.
- Monitor TAT dashboards daily and implement corrective actions to minimize waiting time and service delays.
- Coordinate effectively with clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure seamless patient movement and optimal resource utilization.
- Establish and maintain defined TAT benchmarks for OPD, diagnostics, OT scheduling, admissions, and discharge processes.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Ensure patient waiting time and TAT remain among the centre's top operational priorities, resulting in improved patient satisfaction and higher conversion rates.
3. Business Growth
- Develop and execute strategies to increase patient footfall and surgical volumes.
- Drive growth across OPD, diagnostics, surgeries, optical, pharmacy, and ancillary services.
- Build referral networks with ophthalmologists, physicians, corporates, TPAs, insurance companies, and community partners.
- Identify new business opportunities and local market expansion initiatives.
- Ensure achievement of monthly and annual revenue targets.
4. Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day hospital operations ensuring smooth patient flow.
- Improve operational efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization.
- Monitor KPIs including OPD conversion, surgery conversion, OT utilization, bed occupancy (if applicable), waiting time, and turnaround time.
- Ensure compliance with NABH, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
5. Patient Experience
- Deliver exceptional patient satisfaction and service excellence.
- Resolve escalated patient concerns effectively.
- Monitor patient feedback and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and motivate clinical, nursing, operations, and support teams.
- Drive performance management through KPIs and regular reviews.
- Ensure manpower planning, recruitment, retention, and employee engagement.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
7. Sales & Marketing
- Collaborate with marketing teams to execute local campaigns and outreach programs.
- Strengthen relationships with optometrists, consultants, corporates, NGOs, and community organizations.
- Increase brand visibility and market share in the catchment area.
8. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and audits.
- Maintain documentation and compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications
- MBA in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Operations, or Business Management (preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.
Experience
- 8–15 years of healthcare or hospital management experience.
- Minimum 3–5 years leading a hospital or healthcare centre with P&L responsibility.
- Experience in eye hospitals, multispecialty hospitals, or healthcare chains is preferred.
