About the Role
Tirupati Road Carrier is seeking a Road Transport Executive based at Tallaipalli, Gharghoda, Raigarh (C.G.) to plan and manage daily truck-based coal movement from mines/stockyards to sidings . The role covers fleet coordination, route optimization, statutory compliance, GPS-based tracking, and safe, accurate, and cost-efficient delivery of coal.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily truck dispatches for coal deliveries from stockyards/mines to sidings
- Optimize route planning to reduce fuel costs and delivery times
- Ensure timely loading at mines/stockyards in coordination with mining teams and loader operators
- Supervise loading operations to prevent SPILLAGE and ensure proper weight distribution
- Monitor vehicle availability, assign trips, and maintain 90% uptime across fleet
- Ensure statutory compliance: RTO permits, vehicle fitness, insurance, and pollution norms
- Manage transport documentation required with ntpc department
- Enforce safety protocols for coal loading/unloading, including covering loads to prevent spillage and dust
- Track truck movement through GPS/fleet management systems and follow up on delays
- Coordinate with weighbridges at loading/unloading points; resolve discrepancies in weight or invoicing
- Handle on-road issues: vehicle breakdowns, accidents, coal theft/pilferage; liaise with local authorities or enforcement agencies when required
- Generate reports on transport performance, turnaround time (TAT), and delivery accuracy
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in road transport / coal movement (mandatory)
- Minimum 12th pass; graduate/diploma in logistics or transport management preferred
- Proven experience managing truck fleets and third-party transporters in coal/mineral/bulk cargo movement
- Familiarity with GPS fleet tracking systems
- Strong vendor management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work at mine/plant site locations; local area knowledge is an advantage
- Working knowledge of Hindi and English; basic MS Office skills for daily reporting
Compensation
₹20,000 – ₹40,000 per month (based on experience and skills)
