The AutoCAD Draughtsman is responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD based on project requirements. The role requires close coordination with the design, engineering, production, and project execution teams to ensure drawings are prepared accurately and delivered within project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings as per client specifications and project requirements.
- Develop shop drawings, fabrication drawings, installation drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and lighting drawings for project execution.
- Coordinate with the Design, Sales, Production, and Project teams to incorporate technical inputs into drawings.
- Revise drawings based on client comments, consultant approvals, and site modifications.
- Ensure all drawings comply with applicable standards, project specifications, and company guidelines.
- Maintain proper version control and documentation of all drawings.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and material take-offs from approved drawings whenever required.
- Assist the production team with manufacturing drawings and technical details.
- Prepare detailed layouts for LED lighting fixtures, wiring routes, mounting details, and installation methods.
- Coordinate with site engineers to resolve drawing-related queries during execution.
- Maintain project drawing records in both digital and hard-copy formats.
- Support project teams during tender preparation by preparing preliminary layouts and technical drawings.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings as per project schedules.
- Participate in design review meetings and implement necessary drawing revisions.
- Follow company drafting standards, CAD layers, title blocks, and document control procedures.
- Assist in preparing presentation drawings and technical documentation when required.
- Coordinate with vendors and consultants for technical drawing clarifications.
- Maintain confidentiality of all project drawings and company information.
- Perform any other drafting or design-related responsibilities assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- ITI, Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, or a related field.
- Certification in AutoCAD is preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience as an AutoCAD Draughtsman.
- Experience in lighting, interiors, manufacturing, MEP, architecture, or engineering projects is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D); knowledge of AutoCAD 3D is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to read architectural, structural, MEP, and engineering drawings.
- Understanding of fabrication drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of BOQ preparation and material estimation.
- Familiarity with lighting layouts and shop drawings is preferred.
- Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar software is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
