Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Weaving Incharge to oversee the day-to-day operations of the weaving department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining quality, efficiency, safety, and machine performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all weaving department activities.
- Ensure production targets are met with minimum downtime.
- Monitor fabric quality and implement corrective actions when required.
- Plan machine allocation, manpower, and shift schedules.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimise machine breakdowns.
- Ensure timely availability of yarn and other production materials.
- Train, guide, and evaluate operators and technicians.
- Maintain production records, efficiency reports, and quality documentation.
- Implement safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work environment.
- Coordinate with quality, planning, and other departments to ensure smooth production.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Textile Technology or a related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in a weaving department, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of weaving machines, loom settings, fabric quality standards, and production processes.
- Good leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in shifts if required.
- Familiarity with production planning and quality control practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with air-jet, rapier, or projectile looms.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or 5S practices.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and production tracking.
