Technical Inspection & Testing: Supervise mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system checks. Conduct road or operational tests to ensure performance, steering, and braking meet factory standards.
Team Leadership: Manage and schedule a team of PDI technicians and mechanics across shifts. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and enforce workplace safety protocols.
Quality Assurance: Identify defects, damages, or missing parts, and ensure necessary repairs are completed before dispatch.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure accurate completion of rigorous inspection checklists and maintain system entries for traceability. Verify that all vehicle documentation is legally compliant.
· Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Sales, Service, and Yard Management teams to ensure the timely and defect-free delivery of equipment to customers.
· PDI in-charge should have overall knowledge of vehicle features and product knowledge
· Receive vehicles from yard and carry out the transporter documentation
· Raise and report transit damage claims, if any, Retrieve VIN Specific PDI sheet from Dealer Connect
· Conduct new vehicle preparation and pre-delivery inspection as per PDI check-sheet
· Maintain records and files of all PDI documents
· Road tests the vehicle for specified KMs (driving skills mandatory)
· Report any shortcomings to brand for corrective actions
· Knowledge of key identification labels of aggregates, SSTs, body panel gap measurements, paint defects, lifting points, battery condition, usage of multimeter, and other technical aspects of vehicle, Check DTCs using Wi-Tech and exiting logistics mode, Recall and RRT completion as per applicability
· Leading team of dedicated PDI technicians (wherever applicable) for carrying out required jobs
· Liaising with sales team and workshop for on-time vehicle readiness
· Delivering a quality inspected and well finished vehicle for a positive first customer impression
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per hour
