Job Summary
The Soft Skills Trainer – English Communication is responsible for developing students' communication, interpersonal, professional, and employability skills. The trainer will deliver engaging training sessions focused on spoken English, business communication, personality development, interview preparation, presentation skills, workplace etiquette, and career readiness for students pursuing logistics and supply chain management programs.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Delivery
- Conduct interactive training sessions on spoken English and communication skills.
- Deliver modules on personality development, confidence building, and public speaking.
- Train students in business communication, email writing, report writing, and workplace correspondence.
- Facilitate group discussions, role plays, debates, presentations, and team-building activities.
- Develop students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing competencies.
Employability & Career Development
- Conduct interview preparation and mock interview sessions.
- Train students on resume building and professional networking.
- Develop workplace readiness skills, including professional etiquette and corporate behavior.
- Support placement activities through pre-placement training programs.
Assessment & Student Support
- Assess students' communication proficiency and soft skills development.
- Provide individual coaching and constructive feedback.
- Monitor student progress and maintain training records.
- Identify learning gaps and implement improvement plans.
Content Development
- Design and update training materials, worksheets, presentations, and assessment tools.
- Develop industry-relevant communication exercises aligned with logistics and supply chain careers.
- Create engaging classroom and online learning resources.
Academic & Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance, assessment records, and progress reports.
- Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and academic events.
- Collaborate with logistics faculty to integrate communication skills into technical learning.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in English, Communication, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
- Certification in Soft Skills Training, Corporate Training, IELTS/Language Training, or related areas is preferred.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
Experience
- 0–2years of experience in soft skills training, English language training, or corporate training.
- Experience training students, fresh graduates, or professionals is preferred.
- Exposure to employability training and placement support is an advantage.
