Position Summary
The primary focus of the role is to maintain existing client requirements and expectations, and to develop new business opportunities and relationships in designated target markets. You will be working closely with the Sales team as well as Engineering, Projects and Service department colleagues to ensure any proposed system complies with company standards, to ensure the client receives a high-quality product, and ascertain and propose to the client the required support services.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with prospective clients, existing customers, consultants, contractors and suppliers to cultivate new business opportunities for Diversified, ultimately driving sales of audio visual, VC, IT and service-related products.
- For short and long-term opportunities, manage end-to-end sales process, including: o Develop new strategic business relationships.
- Pursue pre-qualified leads and tender opportunities identified via various sources.
- Champion and drive new sales initiatives and opportunities.
- Understand and define the client’s audio-visual requirements and scope.
- Own the preparation of estimations, quotations & tender responses.
- Liaise with Estimating, Engineering and staff in preparation of quotation or tender response.
- Manage client expectations and Diversified response to quotation and tender requests, in an accurate and timely manner with a personalized feel.
- Systematically follow-up of submitted quotes and proposals liaising with both Customers/Prospects as well as internal Diversified staff to maximize sale conversions.
- Participating in the closure of a sale, e.g., attending tender interviews, client negotiations to win business.
- Perform client Account Management meetings throughout project build / construction.
- Perform diligent recording of opportunities within the Diversified CRM or other systems as designated.

- Acting as the main point of contact for our key clients.
- Providing reports on account management activity and documenting them in our CRM or other systems as designated.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process for key accounts.
- Identifying opportunity through engagement with our key accounts.
- Constructing sales documents and responding to tenders for submission
- Develop & sustain relationships with key personnel from customer partnerships through extensive communication & site visits.
- Keep abreast of technological advances in AV, VC, and IT fields.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports about current activities, future prospects and market intelligence
- Foster and promote the company, product, and brand in the market
- Promote and live the Company Mission, Vision and Values
- Comply with Company policies and procedures, including the completion of documents and records
- Promote and work with Standard Operating Procedures to ensure uniform quality standards in all areas of the business

Qualifications & Education Requirements
Required:
- Certificate III in Electronics & Communications or similar, or
- Degree qualified in ICT/AV, Engineering and/or Business discipline

- Polycom Trained
Skills & Experience Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of integrated audio-visual systems essential
- End-to-end Sales process experience
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Strength in producing proposal documentation
- Willingness to increase knowledge in audio visual integration
- Work within a “Team” environment
- Attention and eye for detail combined with a high level of accuracy
- Computer skills with good knowledge of both Word and Excel
- Professional attitude to customer service
- Positive & cooperative attitude towards the tasks, management, and team members.
