Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hospital to ensure efficient, high-quality, and patient-centered healthcare services. The role focuses on optimizing operational efficiency, improving patient experience, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating activities across all clinical and non-clinical departments.
Key ResponsibilitiesHospital Operations Management
- Oversee the daily operations of all hospital departments, including OPD, IPD, Emergency, ICU, OT, Diagnostics, Pharmacy, Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Security, and Support Services.
- Ensure smooth coordination between clinical and non-clinical departments.
- Monitor patient flow and optimize operational processes to reduce waiting times.
- Implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
Patient Care & Service Excellence
- Ensure high standards of patient care and customer service across the hospital.
- Monitor patient feedback and implement corrective actions to improve patient satisfaction.
- Address and resolve patient grievances in a timely and professional manner.
- Promote a culture of patient safety and service excellence.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with NABH, statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate internal audits and support accreditation activities.
- Monitor adherence to hospital policies, SOPs, and quality standards.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives and monitor outcomes.
Emergency & Risk Management
- Participate in disaster management and emergency preparedness activities.
- Ensure hospital readiness during emergencies and critical situations.
- Monitor and mitigate operational risks affecting patient care and hospital services.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Conduct departmental review meetings and follow up on action plans.
- Present operational performance reports to senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Hospital Administration (MHA), Healthcare Management, MBA (Hospital Management), or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, Nursing, or related field.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in hospital operations management.
- Experience in a multi-specialty hospital is preferred.
- Knowledge of NABH standards and healthcare regulations.
