A Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Operator monitors, controls, and troubleshoots automated industrial machinery and production processes using HMI/SCADA and PLC interface systems to ensure safe, efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- System Monitoring: Watch real-time plant metrics, sensor data, and equipment status via HMI/PLC screens.
- Process Control: Start or stop production lines, adjust operational setpoints, and manage auto/manual operation switches.
- Alarm Response: Respond quickly to system warning lights or critical error alarms to prevent downtime or hazards.
- Basic Troubleshooting: Identify simple input/output (I/O) faults, sensor disconnections, or field instrument errors.
- Maintenance Support: Assist electrical and mechanical teams during equipment checks, loop testing, and system resets.
- Log and Report:Record daily operational data, system performance numbers, and safety incidents.
