Experience: 5–8 Years in Women's Western Wear Manufacturing
Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Manufacturing, Garment Technology, or relevant technical qualification.
Job Summary:
The Pattern & Cutting Master is responsible for developing accurate garment patterns, planning fabric utilization, supervising cutting operations, and ensuring production-ready patterns that meet quality, fit, and buyer specifications. The role requires expertise in garment construction, grading, marker planning, and close coordination with the sampling, merchandising, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop patterns for women's western wear garments based on design sketches, tech packs, and buyer specifications.
- Create first patterns, fit patterns, and production patterns with high accuracy.
- Perform pattern corrections after fit sessions and approval comments.
- Prepare pattern grading for various size sets as per size charts.
- Plan marker layouts to achieve optimum fabric utilization and minimize wastage.
- Supervise fabric spreading and cutting operations to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure all cut panels match approved patterns and measurement specifications.
- Coordinate with the Sampling, Production, Merchandising, and Quality teams for smooth execution.
- Review fabric shrinkage, grain line, fabric behavior, and cutting allowances before production.
- Maintain pattern libraries and ensure proper documentation of all approved patterns.
- Identify and resolve pattern, fitting, and cutting-related issues during sampling and bulk production.
- Ensure adherence to production timelines while maintaining quality standards.
- Train and guide cutting operators and junior pattern makers on best practices.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of women's western wear garment construction.
- Expertise in manual and computerized pattern making.
- Knowledge of grading, marker making, and fabric consumption.
- Strong understanding of garment fitting and pattern correction.
- Fabric behavior, shrinkage, and cutting techniques.
- Ability to read tech packs, measurement charts, and buyer specifications.
- Excellent planning, problem-solving, and team coordination skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software (Gerber, Lectra, Optitex, Tukatech, or similar) is preferred.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
