Job Summary:
Hotel ZANA Jim Corbett, a luxury resort under Espire Hospitality Group, is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie – Chinese Cuisine to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic Chinese dishes, maintaining food quality standards, ensuring hygiene compliance, and supporting smooth kitchen operations while delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present high-quality Chinese cuisine as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines
- Handle mise-en-place and ensure timely food production during service hours
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and portion control
- Ensure kitchen hygiene and food safety standards are followed at all times
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control and requisitions
- Minimize food wastage and maintain cost efficiency
- Coordinate with kitchen and service teams for smooth operations
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen equipment and work areas
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred
- 8–15 years of relevant experience in Chinese cuisine in hotels/resorts/restaurants
- Strong knowledge of Chinese food preparation techniques and ingredients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude with attention to detail
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in luxury hotel or resort operations
- Knowledge of Oriental/Asian cuisine will be an added advantage
- Understanding of HACCP and food safety standards
