Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Milling Machine Operator with 5–7 years of experience in precision machining and manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for operating conventional milling machines, producing components as per engineering drawings, maintaining dimensional accuracy, and ensuring quality standards are met.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate conventional milling machines to manufacture mechanical components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining requirements.
- Set up jobs, tools, fixtures, and workpieces on milling machines.
- Perform face milling, slot milling, drilling, keyway cutting, and profile machining operations.
- Ensure components meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and Dial Indicators.
- Inspect finished components and maintain quality standards.
- Perform machine maintenance and daily cleaning activities.
- Coordinate with supervisors and quality teams regarding production requirements.
- Follow safety procedures and shop-floor regulations.
- Minimize material wastage and improve productivity.
- Maintain production records and job completion reports.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in conventional milling machine operations.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand tolerances.
- Knowledge of machining processes and cutting tools.
- Experience in handling different materials such as MS, SS, Aluminum, and EN Series materials.
- Good knowledge of measuring instruments and quality inspection.
- Understanding of machine maintenance practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
