Digital Marketing and Canva Design Executive

About the Role
We are looking for a creative and performance-focused Digital Marketing Executive who can manage both social media design and paid advertising.
The role involves working with clients across real estate, short-term rentals, professional services, construction, hospitality and other industries. You will be responsible for creating high-quality Canva content, managing Google and Meta advertising campaigns and supporting the overall digital marketing requirements of multiple clients.
This is not only a social media posting role. The ideal candidate should understand both creative design and paid digital marketing.
Key ResponsibilitiesCanva and Social Media Design
- Create professional social media posts, carousels, stories, reel covers, advertisements, flyers and other marketing materials using Canva.
- Follow individual client branding, colour palettes, fonts and design guidelines.
- Create content that looks modern, professional and authentic.
- Resize and adapt designs for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Google Business Profile and other platforms.
- Create ad creatives designed to generate leads, enquiries, bookings and sales.
- Edit templates based on client feedback and complete revisions within deadlines.
- Maintain organised Canva folders and client design assets.
- Assist with basic short-form video and reel editing when required.
Meta Ads
- Set up and manage Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns.
- Create lead generation, website traffic, conversion, engagement and retargeting campaigns.
- Identify suitable audiences based on location, interests, behaviours and customer profiles.
- Install or assist with Meta Pixel and conversion tracking.
- Monitor campaign performance and make regular improvements.
- Test different audiences, advertisements, headlines, offers and creative formats.
- Manage campaign budgets responsibly.
- Prepare clear campaign reports showing leads, cost per lead, reach, clicks and conversions.
Google Ads
- Set up and manage Google Search, Display and Performance Max campaigns.
- Conduct keyword research based on the client’s services and target locations.
- Write effective advertisement headlines and descriptions.
- Create keyword groups, negative keyword lists and location targeting.
- Monitor search terms, clicks, conversions and advertising costs.
- Optimise campaigns to improve lead quality and reduce cost per conversion.
- Assist with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking.
- Prepare regular Google Ads performance reports.
Content and Account Support
- Assist with social media content calendars.
- Write or refine short captions, calls to action and advertisement copy.
- Schedule and publish approved content across different platforms.
- Research competitors, content trends and creative advertising ideas.
- Communicate clearly regarding deadlines, approvals and required client information.
- Manage multiple client accounts without missing deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of completed posts, campaigns, budgets and results.
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong Canva design skills.
- Practical experience managing Meta Ads.
- Practical experience managing Google Ads.
- Understanding of lead generation and conversion-focused advertising.
- Good written English and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow different brand guidelines.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities.
- Basic understanding of social media content strategy.
- Ability to interpret campaign data and recommend improvements.
- Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills.
- Willingness to learn new platforms and marketing tools.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a digital marketing agency.
- Experience with real estate, hospitality, Airbnb, construction, legal or professional service clients.
- Basic video editing experience using Canva, CapCut or similar software.
- Knowledge of WordPress, Wix or website landing pages.
- Experience with Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
- Understanding of Meta Pixel, conversion tracking and remarketing.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and Google Business Profile management.
