Position: Product Manager – Aftermarket Marketing
Location: Vadodara
Qualification: B.Tech / BE – Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 5–6 Years
Industry Preference: Automotive / Auto Components / Aftermarket
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and technically strong Product Manager to lead product planning, product launches, market analysis, and portfolio management for the aftermarket business. The role involves close coordination with Sales, Quality, R&D, and Manufacturing teams to drive profitable growth, improve market share, and strengthen product positioning in the aftermarket segment.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Planning
- Develop product roadmap and portfolio expansion strategies
- Conduct market research, pricing analysis & competitor benchmarking
- Define Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for new products
- Analyze product profitability and market opportunities
New Product / Part Launch Management
- Drive new product introductions aligned with market demand
- Manage end-to-end product launch activities
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality & Design teams
- Develop USP, FAB and launch strategies for products
Promotions & Market Support
- Conduct field visits for market insights and competition analysis
- Support preparation of catalogues, application charts & technical collaterals
- Design and support execution of product-specific schemes
Business Analysis & Reviews
- Monitor pricing competitiveness and market trends
- Analyze sales performance and recommend corrective actions
- Identify slow-moving products and phase-out opportunities
- Prepare MIS reports and management presentations
Training & Development
- Conduct technical FAB training sessions for Sales teams
- Coordinate with Training & Quality departments
- Support internal process improvement initiatives
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of automotive aftermarket products
- Product management & product launch experience
- Excellent analytical and market research skills
- Strong communication & stakeholder management abilities
- Technical understanding of automotive systems/components
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint & ERP systems
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Experience in automotive aftermarket or auto component industry
Strong commercial understanding with technical orientation
Ability to independently handle cross-functional coordination
Willingness to travel for market visits and customer interactions
