Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer / In-Charge to manage electrical maintenance activities at our manufacturing plant. The candidate should have hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance, PLC-based machines, HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
The candidate should be capable of independently handling electrical breakdowns and ensuring reliable operation of plant electrical systems and machinery.
Key Responsibilities: Electrical Maintenance
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and machinery.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults in machines, control panels, motors, sensors and control wiring.
- Ensure minimum machine downtime and maximum availability of electrical equipment.
- Conduct regular inspection of electrical systems and identify potential failures.
PLC & Automation
- Troubleshoot PLC-based machines and control systems.
- Basic knowledge of PLC programming, parameter changes and fault diagnosis will be preferred.
- Work with sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, control circuits and automation components.
- Identify and resolve electrical/control-related machine breakdowns.
HT & LT Electrical Systems
- Hands-on experience with HT Panels and LT Panels.
- Carry out inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting of HT/LT electrical systems.
- Monitor electrical panels, breakers, contactors, relays and protection systems.
- Coordinate electrical maintenance activities during shutdowns and planned maintenance.
Transformer & DG Set
- Experience in transformer inspection and routine maintenance.
- Monitor transformer-related electrical parameters and identify abnormalities.
- Handle routine electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of DG sets.
- Coordinate with service vendors for major DG/transformer maintenance when required.
Motors & Industrial Equipment
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of AC/DC motors, pumps, compressors, conveyors and other industrial equipment.
- Check motor health, connections, insulation and electrical faults.
- Handle replacement and troubleshooting of electrical components.
Team Coordination & Records
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams during breakdowns.
- Guide technicians during electrical maintenance activities.
- Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports and equipment history.
- Maintain adequate electrical spares and coordinate for timely replacement/procurement.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow electrical safety procedures and plant safety standards.
- Ensure safe isolation and maintenance practices while working on electrical systems.
- Support 5S, preventive maintenance and continuous improvement activities.
Required Skills
- Industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Hands-on experience with HT Panel and LT Panel.
- Knowledge of PLC-based machines and troubleshooting.
- Basic PLC programming knowledge will be an advantage.
- Experience with Transformers and DG Sets.
- Knowledge of VFDs, sensors, motors, control panels and electrical circuits.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to handle machine breakdowns independently.
- Good coordination and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering.
- Candidates with relevant industrial electrical maintenance experience are encouraged to apply.
- Experience requirement is flexible depending on the candidate's practical hands-on skills and technical knowledge.
Preferred Experience
Candidates who have worked in manufacturing plants, industrial production facilities or machine-based manufacturing environments will be preferred.
