Job Summary
The Waiter/Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests while delivering a world-class dining experience onboard the cruise ship. The role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining high standards of hospitality, and ensuring guest satisfaction in accordance with the cruise line's service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests in a courteous, professional, and friendly manner.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and recommend food and beverage selections.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the prescribed POS or ordering system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining the highest service standards.
- Ensure correct order delivery, presentation, and portion standards.
- Refill beverages, clear used dishes, and maintain table cleanliness throughout the dining experience.
- Provide attentive service by anticipating guest needs and responding promptly to requests.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to the Head Waiter or Restaurant Manager when required.
- Promote specialty dining venues, premium beverages, desserts, and onboard promotions to maximize revenue.
- Process guest bills accurately where applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and equipment.
- Assist in restaurant setup, mise en place, and closing duties.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP procedures.
- Comply with cruise line policies, environmental practices, and maritime safety regulations.
- Participate in emergency drills and perform assigned emergency duties.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and restaurant teams to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Waiter/Server in a hotel, fine dining restaurant, luxury resort, or cruise ship.
- Knowledge of international cuisine, food service etiquette, and beverage service.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Experience with POS systems is preferred.
- STCW Basic Safety Training and Food Safety Certification are desirable (if required by the cruise line).

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹99,000.00 per month
