Job Description
Techno Specialist Consulting Engineers Kerala Pvt Ltd is actively seeking a highly skilled AutoCAD Draftsman with advanced proficiency in both 2D drafting and 3D modeling for structural steel projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for transforming engineering design concepts into highly precise technical drawings, schemas, and 3D component mockups. We are looking for an experienced professional who can effortlessly navigate structural steel geometries, create detailed connection drawings, and model components in 3D.
What You Will Do:
- 3D Structural Steel Modeling: Develop accurate 3D models of structural steel components within AutoCAD, including structural members, specific base plates, and complex steel-to-concrete or steel-to-steel connections.
- Schematic & Design Drawings: Draft comprehensive structural steel schematic layouts, line diagrams, general arrangement (GA) drawings, and detailed design drawings based on engineering inputs.
- Connection Detailing: Prepare pinpoint-accurate 2D fabrication and detailing drawings for various steel connections (welded, bolted, moment, and shear connections) including explicit bolt layouts and weld symbols.
- Standardization & Updates: Maintain absolute consistency with company drafting protocols, manage advanced layering configurations, Xrefs, and custom dynamic blocks. Incorporate revision markups efficiently.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of dedicated professional experience drafting structural steel components, explicitly covering both 2D layouts and 3D modeling workflows.
- Education: ITI Draftsman (Civil/Mechanical), Diploma, or B.Tech in Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
- Technical Mastery: Advanced command over AutoCAD (both 2D drafting and 3D modeling toolsets).
- Deep understanding of structural steel member profiles, base plate design layouts, and standard connection detailing conventions.
- Exceptional visual spatial awareness, speed, and precision. A portfolio demonstrating past structural steel 3D or detailed connection work is highly preferred.
