Job Summary
The Cashier in the automobile industry is responsible for handling customer payments, preparing invoices, maintaining daily cash records, and supporting showroom or service center billing operations. The role requires accuracy in cash handling, strong customer service skills, and coordination with sales and service departments.
Key Responsibilities
Receive cash, cheque, UPI, card, and online payments from customers.
Generate invoices for vehicle sales, spare parts, accessories, and service jobs.
Maintain daily cash collection records and prepare cash reports.
Verify billing details and ensure accurate entries in the system.
Deposit daily collections into the company bank account as per company policy.
Coordinate with accounts, sales, and service teams for payment reconciliation.
Handle customer queries related to bills and receipts.
Maintain proper documentation of payment vouchers, invoices, and receipts.
Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and audit requirements.
Support month-end closing activities and reporting.
Required Qualifications
Graduate / Diploma in Commerce, Accounting, or related field preferred.
1–3 years of cashier or billing experience, preferably in automobile dealerships or service centers.
Knowledge of billing software, MS Excel, and POS systems.
Basic accounting and cash handling knowledge.
Good communication and customer handling skills.
