Requisition: CIM Lead — Ontology Expert
Role Summary
We are seeking a hands-on CIM Lead with deep expertise in ontology design and implementation. This is a practitioner role for someone who has taken ontologies from concept to production. Candidates without practical, hands-on experience should not apply.
Experience

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and production deployment of enterprise ontologies

Architect and maintain semantic data models and knowledge graphs

Define and enforce data shapes and validation rules using SHACL

Build and optimize solutions on graph databases

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into semantic models

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team
Required Qualifications (Must-Have)

Proven expertise as an Ontologist with advanced knowledge of ontology engineering concepts

Demonstrated experience implementing ontologies through to production in at least one sector (Finance, Insurance, Utility, or Workforce)

Hands-on, practical proficiency with SHACL (Shapes Constraint Language)

Hands-on experience working with graph databases (e.g., Amazon Neptune or equivalent)

Strong communication skills

Experience working with the Common Information Model (CIM)

Experience leading or managing a team

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. Only candidates with proven, practical experience who have implemented ontologies in a production environment will be considered.
