What You'll Do & How You'll Make an Impact (Key Responsibilities):
- Strategic Technical Leadership & Enablement: Take a leading role in developing and delivering advanced technical training programs on new features, product updates, and sophisticated verification methodologies for Siemens Scalable Verification products. You will also be instrumental in creating comprehensive, highquality technical content for Siemens' global knowledge base, serving as a key resource for internal teams and external customers.
- Driving Customer Innovation & R&D Collaboration: Act as a critical link between customer needs and product development. You will meticulously analyze and translate complex customer technical requirements into detailed functional specifications, working in close partnership with our R&D teams. Your ability to articulate the vitality and strategic impact of these issues will be crucial in guiding product evolution.
- Methodology & Tool Adoption Enthusiast: Collaborate extensively with our field engineering teams to gain a deep understanding of customer challenges and opportunities in Functional Verification (FV). You will actively engage in high-profile customer projects, providing expert guidance on selecting and implementing the most effective methodologies and Siemens tools to ensure successful project completion and improve customer value.
Pioneering Tool Evaluation & Deployment: Lead and orchestrate meticulous tool evaluation and benchmarking initiatives, demonstrating the superior capabilities of Siemens solutions. You will deliver compelling technical presentations, conduct indepth methodology reviews, and be responsible for the seamless deployment and adoption of our tools. A key aspect of this role involves strategically driving competitive replacements, solidifying Siemens' market leadership.
- Critical Project Success & Customer Partnership: Provide unparalleled technical support and guidance to customers during the most critical phases of project implementation. Your expertise will be vital in fixing complex issues, ensuring smooth integration, and achieving optimal performance of Siemens solutions, thereby building strong, lasting customer partnerships.
- Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Develop a culture of continuous learning and excellence. You will provide ongoing, advanced technical support and training to customers applying Siemens verification tools, ensuring their long-term success and satisfaction. Opportunities to mentor junior engineers and share standard processes within the Siemens ecosystem will also be available.
What You'll Bring to the Team (Job Role Requirements):
Academic Background:
- Required: A Master's or equivalent experience (M.Tech/M.S) or Bachelor's
(BE/B.Tech) degree in Electronics and Communication (E&C), Electrical Engineering, or Telecom Engineering from a reputable institution.
Work Experience:
- Overall Industry Experience: A minimum of 12+ years of progressive professional experience in the semiconductor or EDA industry.
- Deep Domain Expertise: A robust foundation of 8+ years specifically in the Functional Verification domain, demonstrating a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex verification projects.
Exceptional Technical Skills (Must-Have):
- Mastery of Verification Languages: Expert-level proficiency in hardware description languages including VHDL/Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- UVM Leadership: In-depth knowledge and extensive practical application of UVM (Universal Verification Methodology), including advanced concepts and standard processes for building scalable and reusable verification environments.
Advanced Verification Methodologies: Proven hands-on experience with sophisticated simulation and verification techniques, including:
- Advanced Directed Tests and Testbench Architectures
- Constraint Random Verification (CRV) with strong coverage closure strategies
- Formal Verification techniques (assertions, property checking)
- Coverage-driven verification (CDV) with a focus on metrics and automation
- Comprehensive Verification Types: Expertise across the full spectrum of verification, including:
- RTL (Register Transfer Level) Verification
- Gate Level Simulation (GLS) and timing verification
- Advanced debugging techniques for complex SoC designs
- Low Power Verification Expertise: Deep practical experience with low power verification techniques, including the use of industry standards like UPF (Unified Power Format) and CPF (Common Power Format), and understanding of poweraware verification flows.
- Verification Frameworks & Methodologies: Extensive working knowledge and practical experience with various verification frameworks (AVM, OVM, VMM, UVM), with a consistent track record of successfully applying and customizing at least one of these methodologies in multiple complex projects.
- EDA Tool Proficiency: Demonstrated strong working knowledge and hands-on expertise with industry-leading Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools such as Questa, VCS, NCSim, IUS, and Verdi. Ability to fix and optimize tool usage.
Highly Valued Technical Skills (Added Advantage):
- Protocol Expertise: In-depth familiarity and practical experience with various industry-standard communication protocols (e.g., PCIe, USB, Ethernet, AMBA, DDR, MIPI).
- Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Tcl) for verification flow automation and data analysis.
- Formal Verification: Experience with formal verification tools and techniques.
Emulation/Acceleration: Exposure to hardware emulation or FPGA prototyping for verification.
