- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQ, and quantity take-offs for MEP projects.
- Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQ, and scope of work to identify project requirements.
- Prepare material, labour, equipment, and subcontracting cost estimates.
- Analyze and verify quantities from Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and other MEP drawings.
- Obtain and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotations and negotiate competitive rates.
- Prepare rate analysis and comparative statements for materials and services.
- Prepare tender proposals, commercial offers, and price bids within the required timelines.
- Coordinate with the Design, Procurement, Project, and Commercial teams for accurate estimation.
- Identify scope gaps, exclusions, assumptions, and potential risks during tender evaluation.
- Conduct value engineering and suggest cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality.
- Prepare BOQ pricing, rate breakdowns, and cost summaries for management review.
- Review tender addendums, revisions, and clarifications and incorporate changes in the final estimate.
- Maintain and update material price databases, labour rates, vendor rates, and estimation records.
- Support the preparation of budget estimates and project cost forecasts.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and technical/commercial discussions with clients and consultants.
- Prepare variation and additional-work estimates during project execution, when required.
- Assist the Project and Commercial teams in cost control and monitoring project profitability.
- Ensure all estimates are prepared accurately and submitted within the tender deadline.
- Maintain proper documentation of tenders, quotations, BOQs, rate analysis, and commercial submissions.
- Perform any other estimation and commercial responsibilities assigned by the Management / Project Head.
