Job Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing sales teams, ensuring customer satisfaction, conducting sales reviews, handling team grievances, organizing training programs, coordinating business tours, and achieving organizational sales targets. The role requires strong leadership, communication, planning, and relationship-management skills.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales Management
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Monitor team performance and sales productivity.
- Generate new business opportunities and expand market reach.
- Maintain relationships with key customers, channel partners, and distributors.
- Prepare sales forecasts and business reports.
- Ensure achievement of revenue and profitability goals.
2. Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and supervise the sales team.
- Allocate sales territories and targets.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
- Monitor daily sales activities and field operations.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of sales executives.
3. Meeting Management
- Conduct daily sales briefings and weekly review meetings.
- Organize monthly performance review meetings.
- Prepare meeting agendas, MOM (Minutes of Meeting), and action plans.
- Coordinate management presentations and business reviews.
4. Grievance Handling
- Address employee concerns and workplace issues.
- Resolve customer complaints and service-related grievances.
- Coordinate with HR and management for conflict resolution.
- Maintain grievance records and ensure timely closure.
5. Training & Development
- Identify training needs of the sales team.
- Conduct induction and product training programs.
- Organize workshops on sales skills, communication, negotiation, and customer service.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and improvement plans.
6. Tour & Travel Management
- Plan and coordinate sales tours and market visits.
- Prepare tour schedules and visit plans.
- Monitor field activity reports.
- Manage travel budgets and expense approvals.
- Ensure effective customer and distributor visits.
7. Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong customer relationships.
- Maintain customer database and follow-up systems.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct customer feedback and service improvement initiatives.
8. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Track KPIs and business performance metrics.
- Maintain CRM records and sales documentation.
- Present business updates to senior management.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field.
- MBA (Marketing/Sales) preferred.
- 5–10 years of sales experience with at least 2–3 years in team management.
