Job description: Plant manager(sheet metal fabrication)
A Plant Manager in sheet metal fabrication oversees daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met efficiently while adhering to quality standards and safety protocols. Key responsibilities include managing production schedules (PPC), optimizing equipment usage (laser, bending, welding), controlling costs, and leading teams to improve manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management: Oversee daily operations, implement production schedules, and ensure on-time delivery of fabricated parts.
Process Optimization: Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to improve productivity, reduce waste, and manage costs.
Quality & Technical Oversight: Ensure high-quality standards in cutting, bending, and welding, ensuring compliance with specifications.
Safety & Maintenance: Develop a safe work environment (5S) and manage preventative maintenance programs for machinery.
Team Leadership: Lead, train, and manage staff to ensure operational efficiency.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Indusial Engineering or related field.
Experience: 15+ years in manufacturing, with strong experience in sheet metal production and team management.
Design Skills: Must have strong experience in software skills in SOLIDWORKS & AUTOCAD designing and able to lead the R&D team to design new equipment’s with advice of the management requirements.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of sheet metal, SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, production planning, and quality control systems.
