Key Responsibilities1. Quality Assurance & Control
- Develop, implement, and maintain Project Quality Plan (PQP), ITPs, and method statements.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, codes, and client requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of civil works including concrete, structural, finishing, and infrastructure works.
- Monitor quality control activities at site and ensure adherence to approved procedures.
2. Inspection & Testing
- Review and approve material submittals and method statements.
- Conduct site inspections and witness testing (concrete, soil, aggregates, rebar, etc.).
- Coordinate with third-party testing agencies and laboratories.
- Ensure proper documentation of test results and inspection records.
3. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain quality records, checklists, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective actions.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly quality reports.
- Review contractor quality documents and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Maintain calibration records of testing equipment.
4. Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions
- Identify deviations and issue NCRs.
- Follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring quality issues.
5. Coordination & Audits
- Coordinate with construction, design, and client representatives on quality matters.
- Support internal and external quality audits.
- Participate in management review meetings.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
6. Material & Work Verification
- Verify incoming materials as per approved specifications.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
- Conduct stage-wise inspections before concrete pours and structural activities.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of civil construction practices and QA/QC procedures.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASTM, BS, IS, ACI, etc.).
- Expertise in concrete technology, structural works, earthworks, and finishing works.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
- Good knowledge of quality documentation systems.
- Familiarity with ERP/QA software systems is an advantage.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Mandatory)
- Additional certifications in QA/QC or ISO Auditor preferred
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 13–15 years of experience in civil QA/QC.
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure / industrial / commercial projects.
- Experience handling client inspections and consultant approvals.
- GCC / International project experience (preferred, if applicable).
