Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and motivated Behaviour Therapist to work with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental or behavioral challenges. The therapist will implement individualized intervention plans, conduct one-on-one therapy sessions, monitor progress, and collaborate closely with families and the multidisciplinary team to support each child's developmental goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one behavioural therapy sessions for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and developmental delays.
- Implement individualized behaviour intervention plans (BIPs) designed by a BCBA, Clinical Psychologist, or supervising therapist.
- Teach communication, social interaction, play, self-help, and adaptive living skills.
- Manage challenging behaviours using evidence-based positive behaviour support strategies.
- Collect, maintain, and analyze therapy data to monitor client progress.
- Prepare daily session notes and progress reports.
- Educate and guide parents on home-based behavioural strategies.
- Coordinate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and pediatricians.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with ethical and professional standards.
- Participate in case discussions, supervision, and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
- Psychology
- Applied Psychology
- Child Development
- Special Education
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech & Language Pathology
- Social Work
- Rehabilitation Sciences
- Certification or training in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), Behaviour Therapy, or Autism Intervention is preferred.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or developmental disabilities.
- Freshers with relevant training and strong interest in autism intervention may also apply.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent observation and documentation abilities.
- Patience, empathy, and a child-centered approach.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours calmly and professionally.
- Basic knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ABA, Early Intervention, or Positive Behaviour Support.
- Knowledge of PECS, AAC, or alternative communication systems.
- Experience conducting parent training sessions.
- Familiarity with sensory regulation strategies.
Working Hours
- 2 Hours
- Weekends as required
