Job Summary
The Production Engineer is responsible for planning, monitoring, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure high productivity, quality standards, safety compliance, and timely delivery of products. The role involves coordinating with design, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to achieve production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise daily production activities.
- Monitor manufacturing processes and optimize production efficiency.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within schedule.
- Implement quality control procedures and corrective actions.
- Analyze production data and prepare performance reports.
- Reduce manufacturing costs through process improvements.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize machine downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company regulations.
- Support new product development and production trials.
- Train production operators on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Manage inventory and material utilization effectively.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for production issues and implement preventive actions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Freshers or candidates with 1–5 years of production/manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of production planning and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and Quality Management Systems.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and production reporting tools.
