Job Summary
- Role: Assistant Housekeeping Manager
- Department: Housekeeping & Laundry Services
- Reports To: General manager
- Scope: Luxury/Star Hotel Guest Rooms, Public Areas, and Back-of-House
Core Responsibilities & Premium Quality Assurance
- Enforce luxury brand standards across all guest rooms, suites, corridors, and club lounges.
- Inspect VIP arrivals and long-stay guest suites personally to ensure flawless setup and amenities.
- Audit public spaces daily, including the lobby, restaurants, spa, public restrooms, and offices.
- Manage deep-cleaning schedules for carpets, upholstery, marble restoration, and high-dust areas.
Daily Operational Control
- Analyze occupancy reports daily to calculate room turnover and maximize staffing efficiency.
- Coordinate room releases dynamically with the Front Office to eliminate guest check-in delays.
- Log maintenance tickets instantly via PMS software and follow up with Engineering on open tasks.
- Oversee Lost & Found processes using strict logging, security, and return shipping protocols.
Workforce Leadership & Training
- Build roster schedules that align labor budgets with forecasted hotel occupancy spikes.
- Conduct daily line-ups to brief teams on VIPs, guest preferences, events, and safety focuses.
- Lead structured onboarding and continuous skills training for room and public area attendants.
- Manage performance evaluations, coaching documentation, and constructive disciplinary actions.
Inventory & Resource Management
- Execute monthly stock audits for linen, uniforms, guest amenities, and cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain target par levels to avoid shortages during high-occupancy holiday weekends or events.
- Monitor chemical dilution systems to guarantee safety and prevent waste or property damage.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA, environmental laws, and hazard communication standards.
Candidate Requirements Education & Experience
- Degree / Diploma: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality is highly preferred.
- Star Hotel Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Assistant Manager in a 4-star or 5-star property.
Technical Competencies
- Hotel Software: Proficiency in Property Management Systems (such as Opera Cloud, HotSOS, or Knowcross).
- Chemical Expertise: Thorough knowledge of commercial laundry practices and chemical safety (MSDS/SDS).
Power Skills
- Polished Presence: Exceptional grooming standards matching luxury hospitality environments.
- Multilingual Leadership: Ability to communicate clearly with a culturally diverse frontline workforce.
- Operational Agility: Resilience to work standing for extended periods and manage late-night or holiday shifts.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
