Position : Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location : Dhorela, Gujarat
Role Summary
The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all commercial and cost-related aspects of projects from tender through final account. The role includes contract administration, procurement support, subcontract management, cost control, variation management, claims preparation, forecasting, and commercial reporting to ensure projects are delivered within budget while protecting the company's contractual and commercial interests.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Management
- Manage the commercial administration of assigned projects.
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, cost forecasts, and cash flow forecasts.
- Identify commercial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Ensure commercial compliance with company procedures.
Contract Administration
- Administer contracts in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Review contract documents and identify commercial risks.
- Prepare contractual correspondence, notices, and commercial submissions.
- Maintain proper records for contractual matters.
- Support dispute avoidance and resolution activities.
Cost Control
- Monitor project expenditures and commitments.
- Review and certify subcontractor payment applications.
- Prepare client payment claims and invoices.
- Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate cost reports throughout the project lifecycle.
Procurement & Subcontract Management
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), enquiries, and tender documents.
- Evaluate quotations and prepare commercial bid comparisons.
- Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare Letters of Award and subcontract agreements.
- Manage subcontractor variations and final accounts.
Variations & Claims
- Identify variation opportunities.
- Prepare and negotiate variation quotations.
- Assess client and subcontractor variation submissions.
- Prepare Extension of Time (EOT) cost assessments where applicable.
- Support preparation of contractual claims for additional costs.
Final Account
- Prepare and negotiate final accounts with clients.
- Finalize subcontractor accounts.
- Close commercial matters in a timely manner.
- Ensure recovery of all contractual entitlements.
Reporting
Prepare regular reports including:
- Project Cost Report
- Cost-to-Complete Forecast
- Cash Flow Forecast
- Variation Register
- Procurement Status
- Commitment Report
- Commercial Risk Register
- Final Account Status
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, finance, and planning.
- Attend commercial and project meetings.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Provide commercial advice to project teams.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 8–12 years of quantity surveying or commercial experience in construction, EPC, or engineering projects.
- Experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, industrial, cleanroom, oil & gas, or data center projects is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing subcontractors and project commercial administration.
- Experience with lump sum, remeasurement, and cost-reimbursable contracts.

Knowledge of standard forms of contract such as FIDIC, NEC, PSSCOC, SIA, JCT, or equivalent is advantageous.

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
