Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, set up, and dismantle laboratory equipment and apparatus for Physics practical sessions.
- Assist Physics teachers during laboratory classes and demonstrations.
- Guide students in conducting experiments safely and accurately.
- Ensure proper handling, maintenance, calibration, and storage of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain inventory records of laboratory equipment, consumables, and chemicals, and report replenishment requirements.
- Record and maintain practical registers, stock registers, and laboratory documentation.
- Assist in conducting practical examinations and laboratory assessments.
- Support project work, exhibitions, science fairs, and other academic activities related to Physics.
- Perform any other laboratory or academic support duties assigned by the Principal or Head of Department.
Qualification:
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Physics or a related discipline.
- Prior experience as a Physics Lab Demonstrator or Lab Assistant in a school/college is preferred.
Skills Required:
- Sound knowledge of Physics laboratory equipment and experiments.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to ensure a safe and disciplined laboratory environment.
