Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data models for modern cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Data Modeling, Databricks Delta Lake, and Oracle Cloud Migration, along with knowledge of data governance, metadata management, ETL/ELT, and modern data engineering tools.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models based on business and technical requirements.
- Develop scalable data models using Databricks Delta Lake for analytics and enterprise data platforms.
- Support Oracle-to-cloud data migration initiatives, including assessment, mapping, transformation, and validation.
- Design dimensional models, star/snowflake schemas, and normalized data structures as required.
- Develop data mapping specifications and source-to-target mappings for migration and integration projects.
- Work with data engineers, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to define data structures and relationships.
- Implement and maintain data models that support scalability, performance, data quality, and analytics requirements.
- Utilize Unity Catalog for data discovery, access management, governance, and metadata management.
- Support Delta Sharing for secure and governed data sharing across platforms and teams.
- Work with Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, lineage, classification, and governance.
- Collaborate with ETL/ELT teams using Informatica and dbt.
- Establish and maintain data governance, naming standards, metadata, and data quality rules.
- Analyze existing Oracle data structures and recommend optimized cloud-ready data models.
- Perform data profiling, validation, reconciliation, and quality checks during migration.
- Optimize data models and Delta Lake structures for query performance and scalability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, business glossaries, and lineage documentation.
- Ensure data models comply with organizational security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in Data Modeling, Data Architecture, or Data Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
- Practical experience with Databricks and Delta Lake.
- Experience supporting Oracle Cloud Migration or Oracle-to-cloud migration projects.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, dimensional modeling, and data warehouse concepts.
- Experience with data mapping, data transformation, and source-to-target analysis.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata, and data lineage.
- Good SQL skills and experience working with large enterprise datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Unity Catalog and Delta Sharing.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview.
- Experience with Informatica and dbt.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Oracle Cloud.
- Experience with data governance frameworks and enterprise data management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and Agile development practices.
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization of cloud data platforms.
